Make sure Cool'n'Quiet is enabled in BIOS and also make sure you set your power-scheme to 'Minimal Power Management' in Control Panel->Power Options.
Uninstall the Asus-software and download and install the appropriate Cool'n'Quiet Software from AMD - you can get it

If you like, you can download and run AMD's
Cool'n'Quiet/PowerNOW! Dashboard' ">http://www.amd.com/us-en/asset...NowDashboard_setup.zip - it's a small program that will allow you to see Cool'n'Quiet 'at work'.
Just launch the dashboard-utility and then run something CPU-intensive like a Prime95 'Torture test' for example to watch your processor switch to full speed and voltage
