I've recently purchased the above cpu and have had nothing but problems with it ever since. It's housed on a Pc Chips M848A and uses a stick of OCZ 512MB ddr333 memory. What happens is when windows 2000 loads it will run for a while then just stop, the ide activity light will stay on even after a reset. When i load xp it crashes while booting. So, when this started happening i sent all the components back thats the cpu, mobo and memory to get tested from where i bought them. I was then told that the mobo and memory would be replaced and the chip would be sent back to me. After recieving them i built the computer back up and it is doing exactly what it did before. Place i bought the components have assured me that it's not the cpu. I've tryed everything from formatting to reformatting and trying 5 different OS's and they all crash. I'm really getting... so i need some help. If anyone has ANY suggestions at all please tell me even if it seems stupid.

Set the bus speed +/- 5 MHz...

It's a known problem with the board, it hates stock speeds.

Also make sure your ram is compliant with the board, another known issue..
