Hi,

I have a sempron 2400 with asrock k7vt6 and my bios only sees 1.0 Ghz and recognizes an Athlon Xp processor. I've tryed the bios update and still sees 1.0Ghz . I know i did it with the correct version files, because someone gave me the right instructions, but still the same. What else can i do? Do i have to make any "physical" adjustments?

What's your FSB chipset? You runnin' DDR 3200 RAM chips? If not, you won't be able to support anything over 155FSB with your Sempron, since it's locked at 10x multiplier. I just learned this the hard way...

You should have at least PC2700 memory to run a socket A sempron. Faster memory would be better though, as it is more future resistant.

The Asrock comes out of the box jumpered for 100/200mhz, in case you drop in an old Duron....

Change the mobo jumpers to 166/333, and all will be OK, ok?
