Hey all, just picked up a Sempron 3100+, MSI K8T Neo FIS2R, and 512MB DDR.

I did a fresh install of WinXP SP1, updated to latest BIOS, enabled C-N-Q in Bios, installed Sempron processor driver and set power management to "Minimal Power Management"

Problem is, I do not see C-N-Q working. I have checked cpu speed using various programs including CPU-Z, and even though processor usage is at 0%, speed remains at 1800Mhz.

Is there something I am doing wrong?

Many thanks,
Michael Amisano

I have the same Motherboard and Sempron 3100+

I have tested with Windows 2000 and Windows XP home edition.

The Cool and Quiet - Software is an Power Now Software and does not
know about the new Sempron Processor, because in this Forum
Nobody has enabled this feature on any mainboard.
