i was wondering which sempron chip has the best overclock ability
2300/2400/2500 or the 2800
i am using a As Rock K7S8X board with 512ddr 2700 mem
i'll be using a coolermaster fan (not sure which one yet)

how easy is it to clock the chip also

many thanx /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' /> /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />

The Sempron 3000+ is the best for out of the box without overclocking, it is pretty much the equivalent to the XP2600 - XP2800+ range...

The multiplier is locked on all semprons, and indeed all socket A cpus since week 39 2003. You need a 400fsb motherboard (SiS or Nforce2) and pc3200 memory ideally.

Yeah that was Casso's board last night. Sempron's would go ok on them though wouldn't they? I mean 200MHz clock would be feasible?
