qbuff Junior Member Posts: 2 Joined: 04/26/2005	Just purchased a Sempron 2800+ from Fry's it came bundled with an ECS Elite Group KT600-A Motherboard. On boot-up it reports the CPU as an Athlon XP+ speed 1200 Mhz. Any suggestions appreciated.

AMD808 Moderator Posts: 3771 Joined: 10/09/2004	You will need to enter the bios and change the FSB speed to 166 MHz. It is set at 100 X 12 = 1.2 GHz right now. 166 X 12 = 2.0 GHz is the proper setting.
