I have old Sempron 2600+ 32bit in PC with nforce 2 motherboard, 512MB DDR 400 , not-integrated Sapphire Radeon 9550, Combo Sony.......other is not too mutch important.
My questions about upgrade is : If you have budget for upgrade 220 USD what is better choise( what run faster)?

1) New nforce 3 motherboard and Sempron 3100 Socket 754, old graphic card and other
2) old nforce 2 , plus new 512MB memory and new better AGP ATi graphic card for rest of budget

My operating system is WinXP x86, but in future could be Fedora Core 6 64-bit

It depends on which Nforce2 board and exactly what memory you have. You should be able to overclock the sempron to 200MHz and you could get an identical pc3200 module and run in dual channel. It also depends on the power supply you have. And what games you're into playing.

There are one or two socket 939 boards which have an AGP slot. That may be worth considering. I'd probably skip 754 though.
