Ok I'm new to the forum and would like to get stuck in with a question. At around Jan/Feb this year I decided to invest in a new basic computer that could handle games if I wanted it to and so that I could save up for something better in the future. I built it myself and here are the specs:

AMD Sempron 3400+ o/c @2.5GHz
Corsair (CMX512-4000) 512MB
ATI X1300 pro 512MB
Biostar Geforce 6100-M7 (754)

Now my problem is that whenever the computer boots up, I get a funny whirl of colours instead of the Biostar logo I should get. It doesn't slow performance or anything its just very annoying. I only get this whirl when I use the ATI graphics, and with my dads Geforce 6600 I have no problems and its fine. Could it be the fact that the motherboard is older than the graphics and therefore needs to be flashed? Or is it something else? Any answers would be great!

If you were to replace the ATI card with the GF6600 today would you see the whirl of colors. I am just trying to make sure I read yoru thing correctly.

But anyways yeah I would flash to the newest is possible that the motherboard is having more trouble deciding where to send the signal *onboard VGA or PCI E card*.
