I just installed XP on my laptop. It has a Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3500+. It is a Dell Inspiron 1501. I cannot connect to the internet even when directly plugged in. When I opened device manager, There is a question mark beside "Other Devices". Under Other devices there are:

Base System Device
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
SM Bus Controller
Vide Controller (VGA Compatible)

each have question marks, but since I cant connect to the web I cannot get the drivers. I'm wondering if I can download one driver (chipset maybe?) to solve the problem or if I have to find the drivers for each individual component. Any help/links/info would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

Your gonna have to download the chipset drivers, graphics drivers, audio driver and the network drivers.

All the drivers you need are HERE.

You obivously have internet access through another computer so download all you need and then put them on a USB mem stick or cd and then copy them onto your laptop and install.

Best to install the chipset drivers first, then the graphics drivers and then the network drivers, or at least thats the way i do it.
