Billy-B Lurker Posts: 3 Joined: 01/06/2012	I have some unused server parts laying around and was wondering if I could/should use some 8000 1207F Series CPU's in a Dual Tyan(S2927ANRF) MB, that normally would take 2000 1207F Series CPU's? Does any one know if it will work and if it will be better/faster?? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated... ------------------------- Built Thousands of AMD PC's & Servers, never had one Windows OS or Software incompatibility issue!

Billy-B Lurker Posts: 3 Joined: 01/06/2012	PS, I had some Dynatron Socket F 2U cooling fans laying around, went to use them and found that the little syringes of thermal compound(OCM45F-SP) where empty? Could they have dried up? They are about 3-4 years old, and where in a sealed package... or was it a Dynatron SNAFU! ------------------------- Built Thousands of AMD PC's & Servers, never had one Windows OS or Software incompatibility issue!

It will work no differently than if you used the 2000 series CPU though. -------------------------
