Hello AMD users.

I recently acquired an older server (Supermicro H8DME-2)with with a Opteron 2212 HE CPU installed.

The board supports PowerNow! and I have it enabled. I am currently running XP x64 w ith the AMD 1.3.2.0053 driver, with the power options set to "Minimal Power Management." But when I check the General tab of my system properties... it tells me that I am running a 2.01GHz CPU instead of scaled down 800MHz that should be displayed when Powernow! is enabled...

Any advice... or the System Properties giving the wrong info?

CPU-z should indicate in real time when CPU frequency changes. I assume that you have PowerNow/CoolnQuiet enabled in BIOS?

Thanks... I do have PowerNow! enabled... but the system properties always says 2.01GHz.

I installed a program called Textcoretemp... it does show the processor speed bouncing up and down now.

Thanks
