I can't seem to find any. Is this site AMD supported? I really think this is a major oversight on thier part since I can't find one motherboard rated to support 165/170/175/180. Will AMD ever start making thier own chipsets again? I think this hurts them too.

pretty much all newer nforce socket 939 boards support 939 opterons , you may have to email the manufacturer to get an explicit reponse.

tyan does official say it on their website

no, ii think there is only ONE that officially support it. there is a chipset that it doesnt work with but almost every other board SHOULD support it. what do you have, someone can find out.

While on the subject of motherboard support, I have one about memory.

The socket 940 boards always required registered memory, but do the socket 939 boards using the Opteron processor require it also?

Haven't seen anything re: this. Is this assumed knowledge?

All 939 boards use unregistered ram

All 940 boards require registered ram, this year anyway /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />
