Will my asus a8n32-sli deluxe motherboard read the opteron 180 as an opteron, and allow it to function as the opteron 180 is marketed?
Why is AMD not disclosing this compatibility to the public? is this a safe option or should i opt for an athlon x2 4800+?

thank you

well i got the asus a8n - e and asus's site says its supports the opterons as long you have flash 1010.003 or higher. i know its not really relevant to your question, but i figure its an asus s939 nf4 mobo, so im assuming that the higher end mobo would support it.
