Is/Will Opterons or even the MP be a leading game cpu or will athlon the 64 always be the best?

opterons as a cpu is very powerful and stable. but still athlon will be better because of its wide mobo and over clocking options. when games start to support Dual or multiprocessor with SLI then opterons will blow away athlon with mobos like K8WE which supports dual full speen pci e. but this is my view and i cant see opterons beat athlon in the near future with dual cores on offer....
