Dude, why do you think I posted this in the first place? I searched Google thousands of times and found nothing about 846's These are the AMD forums, so there should be someone from AMD to help or something right?

hehehe...was wondering when you were going to respond!

You're not going to find much on the 846's since Big Iron tends to upgrade very infrequently...

however, RackSaver should have an 8xx soon.

cheers,

dave

M$ has an exchange server database that compares results from top servers...that's kinda fun to look at...updated infrequently...

you can get to it here: http://www.microsoft.com/excha...info...00/perfscal.asp' ">http://www.microsoft.com/excha...ning/2000/perfscal.asp

also, check the SPEC scores over at Ace's...

http://www.aceshardware.com/SPECmine/' ">http://www.aceshardware.com/SPECmine/

see if you can dig up stuff there.

cheers,

dave

Just keep watching for an update here at SPEC' ">http://www.specbench.org/cpu2000/results/

Your looking for "Throughput: [ SPECint_rate2000' ">http://www.specbench.org/cpu2000/results/rint2000.html, SPECfp_rate2000' ">http://www.specbench.org/cpu2000/results/rfp2000.html ]", "Speed" is usually single CPU.

Can't you draw a graph through 1, 2 and 4 CPU results and extrapolate to 8CPU's ?-)
