I would like to know what tools AMD offers to low-level developers, specifically those working on things like the BIOS. I've heard they offer a hardware debugging toolkit (HDT), but have yet to see this software.

I would also like to know if it's possible to use a bootstrap processor in a dual Opteron configuration to step through initialization on an application processor, sort of like what an in circuit emulator from Arium' ">http://www.arium.com/ does for Intels and ARMs. If so, where can I find documentation?

Appreciated, but not quite what I was looking for. That guide does step through processor initialization on paper, but it would be nice to see what's *really* going on when we put our custom BIOS in.
