Remember folks Registered memory is faster when using more then two sticks of memory, so it is great for folks who needs TONS of memory.
Also registered memory is much more stable then unbuffered memory.
(It takes a lots more work to validate and certify registered memory then normal memory)
So if your game crashes because youare using unbuffered memory, big deal.
But if you just spend the last 4 hours of a work day making something that will bring you hundreds of dollars, then a single crash can set back your work, and possibly cause you to loose a sale.
So total stability is a factor of someone looking at purchasing a top of the line CPU.
