hey every, in the last 10 days ive been building a pc so far i have picked up the Asus A8n32-MVP deluxe motherboard with crossfire, a Ati X1900 XTX 512, 2 gig OCZ XTC, 74 gig raptor and 250 gig sata II

i was going to get a amd 4800 before then my friend said to go for opteron they are better and easier to overclock. should i stick to getting the 170 or 175? and if so which one out of thoes two

would'nt know about the 4800 but if you look at my sig you can see that i'm happy with the opty

some do oc better than others but on the average 2.6-2.8 seems to be about right a very special chip will do 3.0

ok good ive seen alot of ppl in there sigs have it up to like 2.5-2.75 man if i could get it there i would be so pleased

with the board and ram you chosing to use it should be no problem

also this forum is a good place to get help with ocing as many of us have the optys
