Hello
Just wondering, Just bought a brand new system, a dual opteron 242 with 1gb of ECC registered RAM PC2700 with an Nvidia Geforce FX 5900XT and my 3dmarks 2001SE result was 14,000 and my aqumark was 33,000 running at stock settings. I found out that peiople with A64's beat me ! Why is this ? Is there a more office based benchmark that would test both CPU's ? Is it my graphics making me slow ? I didnt think it was much worst than a 9800pro...

You're getting beat because of the Opteron's lower clock speed. 3DMark2001 adn Aquamark3 aren't SMP aware (even though Aquamark supports HT which is just ridiculous) and thus you're being penalized. PCMark04 has a number of multithreaded tests which should take advantage of your CPUs. See what score that gives you.
