Well, I'm setting up the Lanparty Ultra-D and had some questions about the hardware setup and I figured you guys could help since many people are running similar setups.

What Bios are people running?
What stock Vcore?
What RAM slots work best in dual?
Which SATA ports work best? Thought I heard 3 or 4?
And is there anything else I should know?

Stock Vcore depends on the revision of your Opteron.
"what ram slots work best in dual" - to be precise it's not "dual channel" it's a 128bit configuration (just a little, not so important difference). I'd stick with the manual for the memory configuration and use the recommended slots that you can find for 128bit configurations.
In manuals from Tyan you can find a table that shows all possibilities. Just use the most simple that is available. (normally 1st and 3rd slot from the CPU) but it shouldn't make a real difference because all slots can be used at stock speed without decreased timings.

BIOS, SATA, other things: Should be answered by someone with that board. Maybe you would get more replies in the desktop section of this board!
