I have a problem installing some 64 bit drivers and software. The error message claims I have an unsupported processor? I have already installed Xp x64 from scratch on the first partition using the f6 floppy to install to raid. I then install the lan and chipset drivers. No problem there. Then I install a couple utilities like powerstrip and powerzip. No problem.
When i try to install the MOTU firewire interface 64bit driver it reports that I have an unsupported processor.
Likewise when I attempt to install Sonar 5 64 bit.
On the win 2k partition of the same machine I have had no problem installing the 32bit equivalents.
In hardware manager the system shows 2 entries for "opteron 165" under "processor". The driver is from microsoft with a date in 2004?
Is there a patch or update I need to install to get my system to be rcognized by these installers?
