Hi All
I want to experince building up a low cost mpi cluster with 64*248 opterons.
Does anyone know which motherboard is most cost effective?
I saw Tyan Thunder K8SE (S2892) that supports SATAII, but I don't know if it will the best.

Hi!

What do you think about this one:
http://www.iwill.net/product_2.asp?p_id=98&sp=Y
IWill DK8-HTX

You would be able to connect the nodes with Infiniband that would be DIRECTLY connected to the HT-Link.
Benefit: extreme low latency

---------------------------

Edit:
There are new products from Iwill (Opteron Socket-F based) that do also offer SATA ports and an HTX slot. If you have some time to wait you may consider one of these systems.
