need urgent help!plz thx
i've just got a brand new opteron 146 939
my motherboard is asrock 939dual-sata2 with Cool 'n' Quiet enabled
I'm running both win2k pro sp4 and winxp pro sp2
first i enabled CnQ in BIOS
then i installed CnQ 1.0.8.1 on win2k
initially everything was fine, CnQ was working well
however, after powering up my computer 3 or 4 times later, windows task manager indicated that CPU was 100% on load after logged onto win2k, and obviously the cpu temperature reached 51C
then i uninstalled CnQ and disabled it from BIOS, tried all different power/battery settings, however, the cpu was still 100% on load! so i reinstalled win2k again, and then everything restored to normal state. But when i installed CnQ again, the same scenario occured again.......
Therefore I installed CnQ on winxp, and everything was fine
I checked the release note of CnQ and realised that this is a known issue, but i still can't find any solution from AMD or microsoft
I also tried to find the latest CnQ from AMD, but there's no version for win2k....
So did i install the wrong CnQ version? cuz i installed the one for athlon64 instead of the one dedicated to opteron....
could some one help me out! cheers^^

Why don't you just use WindowsXP? It's the better solution for your system.
