Just a heads-up. This is related to my post on WXP Pro hang problems
with the Tyan Tiger K8W S2875 Mobo - still unresolved, but not for
lack of some kind souls offering suggestions:' ">

I had an email dialogue with Tyan support, and the Tyan support person
is telling me that I can NOT lead WXP Pro with SP2 integrated on the
DVD - it won't work. He insists I need to load WXP Pro WITHOUT SP2,
which will work, and which point I can upgrade to SP2 from the MS WEB
site, and that will work also. His email message is below. See my post
in the link above for a more detailed description of the problem.

Just FYI,

The issue with WinXP + SP2 is an odd issue that we do not know why
it happens. All that we know is that WinXP w/o SP2 will load every time
without issue. You can even then go to the Microsoft website and do the SP2
update and things will still continue to work correctly.

However when you use a copy of WinXP + SP2 already embedded then you runs
into this problem. This is a Microsoft WinXP + SP2 embedded issue and Tyan
does not have a solution for that type of issue. The only way we know how to
get around this issue is to use a copy of WinXP w/o SP2 and then update it
after the fact. Anything further than that must be taken up with Microsoft
