(Calvn_Swing @ Dec 3 2004, 04:44 AM) What power supply (all the info) were you using that had the problem, and what power supply are you using now that fixed the problem?
The last line of my signature answers your question... There is the full model type of the Enermax.
Enermax EG651AX-VH (w) FM -- It's an SSI compliant EPS12V PSU with 4 seperated 12V lines, 550W (not just PEAK-power!
The replacement I am using until monday:
Enhance ENS-0252B 520 Watt. A "simple" EPS12V PSU. Compared to the Enermax PSU above it's tiny - about half as long. And it costs about the half of the Enermax PSU.
The Enermax is really impressive. The housing is not made of thin sheet metal as usual PSUs are but of massive, about 3mm thick, aluminum. This aluminum housing also acts as heatsink.
The replacement of the Enermax will arrive on Monday. My distributor recieved the notebook on thursday but did not manage it to send the package fast enough to me. I hate to wait for new hardware...
On 07th of December my distributor send me a brand new "higher value exchange" PSU. An Enermax with 600W... BUT ATX12v
AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! What the #?!% should I do with that? Oh man! I'm really going crazy! They exchanged a EPS12V SSI-compliant server-class PSU with a brand new "high end" desktop PSU. Stupid people everywhere... All I could do with this PSU is a rapid destruction of the mainboard. Nothing else. *sigh* I send it back once again and told my distributor that I won't accept anything like this again. So I still wait for a proper exchange for the great Enermax I send in for RMA....
