I am curious to know how a system would behave in a 4 way example say in the case of a CPU failure? I've been discussing with others and think that depending on which CPU fails; the system may not come back online due to BIOS/ROM being connected to a specific processor? Same for I/O to PCIX slots and memory? If I lose a processor do I lose access to those banks of RAM until the processor is replaced? How bout the PCIX example? would I lose I/O capacity until the processor is replaced that has a hypertransport connection the the I/O slots or do all processors have a hypertransport connection to the PCIX tunnel?
