I had a Tyan MB-S2460 and it always ran a little unstable. Now it is completely fried and I need another board.

What motherboard would you recommend. I am low on money and just want to rebuild the sytem I have.
I have 2 AMD/Athlon 1.2/266 MP. What works best.

Hi! I have a DURON 850 MHZ and i whould like to up date my pcchips M810 LRH, putting a new fsb 266 processor. Whel, when i was in the COMPUTER store the man told me that the DURON and ATHLON XP has been exit of the market. IS IT THE REALITY

I have an asus a7m266-d board that i find is very stable, you can get them on ebay for 150-200 us.
Yes, the duron and athlon xps are being phased out, although they are still available new some places. I can get some athlon xp 266fsb cpus new still. the 266 fsb boards and chips are going and are being replaced with the sempron (333 mhz fsb)

if it'll take it your CPU's and you are on a budget then a Gigabyte GA-7DPXDW+. Not the most expandable board ever, and lacking a few of the finer features more modern board have, but i had one of these before i graduated it to being our LAN gaming server. Dual CPU's are pretty much wasted on desktops unless it's for a Graphics WOrkstation or you are running a *NIX distro.

IIRC they retail at ~ £140 GBP.
