I am new to the MP area and have come across some good prices but also that fact that i have come across a MB AMD-760 MPX (K7) this has come with a MP2600.
I have bought a MP2800+ from a friend for a very very resonible price would like to know if they will work together.
As i am a beginner in the area of Multi Processors i know they need to be the same Frequency and have found out the MP2800+ is 2.017 ghz but not sure what the MP2600 runs at but i would imagine it will be probably about 2.00ghz.
Can some let me know if this is possible and if not then what would happei am itching to put this system together and play around with it.......
Any help / comments with this situation would be much appreciate to get me started.

Hi. If you are still waiting, they both run at 266Mhz but unfortunately both CPU's HAVE to be the same preferably a matched pair but certainly NOT different speeds i.e. 2xMP2600+, 2xMP2800+,2xMP2400+ etc and of course both MP although sometimes you can have modified XP's. I would suggest looking on ebay and purchasing either another MP2600+ or MP2800+ but carefully check part numbers as quoted on CPU's
