Hello

I have a box using dual AMD Athlon MP 2.6 (X2) with 1.5g/b of ddr ram running a redhat 9.0 server.

And hosting game servers (hlds).
now for some reason when loading only 4 servers the cpu starts jumping like crazy! wich effects the pings allsow.. do you have any idea what sould i do?

maybe i didnt slice the proccess good between the cpus, or i dont know what
maybe i dont have enoghf ram..

but i dont think its likeably for the cpu to go crazy over 4 hlds..

(i have a friend with xeon running 18 with no problem!!

please suggest me what to do..
or where can i get counceling about this

RAM problem?

because MPX 768 use DDR 266 only

close the EEC may be useful

moreover, change the pci lan card may be useful.

Use 3c920 <--S2466-4m build in are good.

the pci setting of MPX768 NOT 760 HAVE bug... IRQ sth like that...
