I just replaced my mp2000+ processors with the mp 2600+ Barton. I am using the ASUS A7M266-D motherboard with bios version 1011 and I had bios 1010 in the initial install of the 2600 processors. The bios is reporting the processors as being MP2400+ processors and it's running at 2 GHZ and the FSB is at 266 at 1.66 volts on cpu0 and 1.63 volts at cpu1. The CPU Information program is reporting the L2 cach as being 512k and the Family/Model/Step is 6.10.0 so it is the barton core. What MHZ does the MP2600+ Barton core run at and did AMD ever release a MP 2400+ Barton core. I believe my bios is misreporting. Overall the processors are running great as did the 2000+ but cooler. Still waiting on the pci express to come out so I can build an athlon 64 system.
QUOTE What MHZ does the MP2600+ Barton core run at and did AMD ever release a MP 2400+ Barton core. The Athlon MP 2600+ does run at 2.0GHz, and yes an Athlon MP 2400+ exists - it is clocked 2.0GHz aswell, but it's a model 8 with only 256KB of L2-cache.
