MSI and Gigabyte offer some good boards (the gigabyte also offers on-board IDE RAID) the MSI lacks raid but makes up for it (sorta) by being ona the two boards to support voltage adjustment, multiplyer adjustment(up to 12.5) and FSB adjustment on the processors (hence a very good overclocking board) Asus made probaly the best board with a 5.1 channel sound codec on-board.. but its getting harder to find the ASUS, Iwill (the other voltage adjusting board) and the gigabyte boards, the MSI are still easy to find if you know where to look, the Tyan boards are everywhere..
uhh.. the 761 was for the desktop, you mean the 760MP and the 760MPX chipsets.. (762 and 766 and 768 respective chips) the 760MP chipsets had a 1/1000 chance of getting defective USB controller..(or was that with the MPX? gosh its been so long I forget) so if you can get an MPX chipset, (but its not like it matters, all but like ONE motherboard came with a PCI USB 2.0 card included in the motherboard package.
