I posted this same question on the Athlon/Athlon XP forum. Maybe one of you know the answer to this.

I have a couple Athlon MP 1200's and I was wondering if they could be used on a motherboard that supports ordinary Athlons. All I ever see is talk about using the XP in place of the MP. What about the other way around?

As for your question, ALL Athlon MP's are model 6(Palomino) or higher, so they are Athlon XP-class processors.
Basically, an Athlon MP is just an Athlon XP which has gone through additional testing/validation for running stably in a dual-CPU configuration.

Your Athlon MP's will run just fine on any motherboard that supports an Athlon XP(model 6).
