I replaced my 1.2 MP with dual 2400+ processors and the strange thing is that all my system descriptions read the second cpu as an XP not an MP. Is this normal? I've tried other CPU ID apps and they all say the same thing. Everything seems to work otherwise - and I see two CPU gauges in the task manager. However one day only one CPU was registering. After a quick reboot it came back. Maybe this is related. Any suggestions?

Did you reset CMOS after you installed the new CPUs? What happens if you swap sockets?
Maybe you got a remarked/modified AXP? look closely at the bridges on the CPU, especially the L5's...
