Server died and will not restart. All components excluding mb and cpu check out fine and are in good working condition. My question is how likely is it that both CPU's failed?
If the motherboard maintains power without the cpu's installed can I rule out the motherboard? I have swapped the cpu's around and alternated single versus dual. I receive no beeps or warning idicators from board and cannot access BIOS.
Any ideas???

It seems most unlikely both CPUs would fail simultaneously, unless there was a common cause like a power surge, or mobo failure that damaged them.

But a power surge would probaly blow the PSU fuse and/or damage the mobo.

So overall, I suspect a mobo failure.

Do you have another mobo and PSU lying around, so you can just test the CPUs (one at a time).

I'd also try re-setting the Bios with the CMOS jumper.
