I have a Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 motherboard with 512 MB of matched crucial ram. The processor is 3200XP with 400FSB. Whenever I try to play any game it will crash back to the desktop or BSOD usually with a PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA usually with KMIXER.SYS as the culprit although other system files have been blamed as well. I have tested the memory with MEMTEST-86 and after tweaking the ram has passed all the tests. The only component I want to test is the processor. Does anyone know of a reliable test for this? Incidently if I underclock the processor to a 2500 it runs faultlessly. I have checked the numbers on the processor and it would seem to be the genuine article.
