Hello!

I am currently running a Server with a MSI K7D-Master L (MS-6501) with dual MP 1800's and 2 GB RAM. I would like to purchase two new MP 2800's and drop them in this board.

However, I have heard that there are problems with certain versions of the MP 2800's and/or possibly inadequate power circutry on older versions of the K7D which will not allow them to run on this board. Are there known issues with this processor and motherboard? Should I purchase a particular version of the MP 2800?

I have the lastest BIOS (v1.82), and the board has been the most stable I have ever purchased, so I would like to keep it (if I can juice it up).

Thanks in advance.

Andrew

MSI K7 D Master L, bios 1.82b with dual MP 2800+.
Thermalright SLK-947U witk Akasa 60-80 fan adaptor and Papst 8412NGN,26dB.
Matrox Parhelia 128 with Zalman ZM80C-HP and Papst 3412N/2GL, 23 dB
Adaptec 29160 SCSI PCI card on slot 2
Maxtor Atlas 10kIII, 18,4 Go U160 (Really great)
