I have aWinfast (Leadtek) all-in-one motherboard K7NCR18G-pro 1800 w/NviDia Nforce2 IGP+N Force2 MCP(T). I run ME on the computer. Evey time I try to shut down a program or task, the computer locks up. The only solution is to hit the reset buttion. The freeze also happens sometime when I double click on any function, shuch as a different drive or file to open.

I've tried everything I know to do, does anyone have a clue?

Have you tried using a different OS? That sounds like a software issue, and Windows ME is easily among the worst operating systems in existence if not THE worst. Windows 98SE or Windows 2000 or Windows XP would do fine.

If it's not a software issue or if you want to troubleshoot other things first, try running a stability test like Prime95 for 24 hours to see if it's your hardware that's at fault.
