I have a Dual MP 2800+ System with 2GB DDR and WinXP Pro Installed

I have some programs wont work with XP even in Compatibility mode ( since they used a functions found only in Win9X DLL files... )

so I decided to install Win98 SE

but as I know, Win9x cant support multi CPU... I'm confuced now If I can install the Win98 SE or not even not taking the benfit of MP... just I want to OS to run whell as working in One CPU system

hmmm......this' ">http://support.microsoft.com/d...-us;193645&Product=w98 M$-knowledge base article says it will only use one CPU and completely ignore the other...also, your 2gigs of ram could cause problems with win98, since it doesn't(officially) support more than 1GB of RAM...

the most important thing is the OS will work fine, since it's just some small damn programs not a really workstations software..

but I'm thinking about that 2Gigs...

actually win98se only supports up 512MB ram and a single processor. maybe win2000 would be better?
