In the device manager it shows both processors as "AMD Athlon™ processor".

If I select Upgrade driver it will load the correct driver after which it will display "AMD Athlon MP2400+". I have to do this for both.

After a couple of reboot cycles it reverts back to the driver mentioned above.

The mobo has the latest ver of BIOS (4.05)

I run an audio workstation (Cubase SX 2.0) and under heavy load I swear I can tell a difference when the generic driver is loaded.

Is there a driver I can download to solve this? Should this have an impact on my machine's performance?
