I have an A7M266-D and have 2 questions...

First of all is there a jumper to reset the CMOS?

It would seem not so how am i supposed to reset the CMOS with this board.

Also when I have the thing up and running it shows both processors in the POST
then I get into windows and it shows 2 processors under system devices

BUT when I look under the General tab in system it shows the computer is a 1.2ghz
is that right?

BTW I have 2 1.2'ss in the board.

Shouldn't it be saying 2.4 ghz?

If it is supposed to say 2.4 any trouble shooting ideas?

I am running windows XP Prof.

dual 1.2's don't run at 2.4, it just runs at 1.2, but alot more stable than 1 processor (also faster). I Don't know about that motherboard, did you get a manual with it?

dual proccesors aren't really meant to give you more speed, they just allow higher thresholds, having 2 1.2ghz proccessors means you'll be able to process two programs running at 1.2ghz at the same time, speeds don't add up linearly unfortunately. if you want speed, save some money and go 64 bit, well that's not quite saving that much money. But the 1.2ghz reading is correct. unless you bought processors faster than that, then you might want to check something out.
