Hello. This is my first post here. I've joined looking for some information, and I hope someone here can help me.

I just bought a Toshiba Satelitte L455D-S5976 laptop from Wal-Mart and I'd like to put Debian Linux 5.0 on it. It has AMD Sempron SI-42.

What version of Debian 5.0 is the correct one to download?

I'd be very grateful for any help given. Thanks.

I am by no means an expert on Linux and never used Debian before either. After looking at their download page it seems the download is huge for the whole thing so I'd probably go for the minimum 180mb network install disc image. You only need to download the packages you choose then rather than getting the whole thing which would be around 19gb.
