I am currently running Windows 7, despite being a die-hard Linux user. The reason is that my new laptop (HP dv6z) has been configured (when I bought it online via HP) with a dedicated AMD graphics card AND an integrated AMD card / processor.
I am currently using Windows as I heard that there wasn't much support for using dual graphic cards on Linux-based distribution, however I've also read the opposite when it comes to using AMD's proprietary drivers.
So, I'd love a straight answer, if possible. Does the AMD Catalyst Driver support dual-graphic cards that are NOT Intel/AMD but rather AMD/AMD? If so, does it support automatic switching or will I need to open up the terminal and switch which cards that X.Org uses? (I'm comfortable doing this as well).
I already checked, both my cards are listed as supported, so no need to ask me that
Thank you,
Josh
P.S. I asked on the Ubuntu (I use Ubuntu-derived distributions, not specifically Ubuntu) forums, they were absolutely useless when asked.
