Unless I'm missing something, the Phenom X3 8400 is a 95Watt CPU that only works on Socket AM2+. It shouldn't be compatible with the Asus M2N68-LA motherboard because this is a Socket AM2 motherboard that accepts 65Watt Brisbane CPUs, However I found this and I'm wondering if this is true:

How can a 95 Watt Phenom X3 8400 work on an Asus M2N68-LA Motherboard? Can anyone confirm if in fact it does or does not?? I asked this on the AMD Gaming forum but haven't received an answer yet. if this Phenom X3 8400 will work on my Asus M2N68-LA, I'll go that route instead of the Athlon 64X2 5600+ that I was looking at.
Thanks
