Hi,
what does 128 bit floating point mean for the Phenom II.
Is it just the parallel processing of 2 64bit floating numbers or is there
hardware support for 128bit floating point numbers, i.e. with (significantly)
longer mantissa than 52 bits?

Thanks for your info,
Helmut.

The answer should be in the AMD64 tech docs: http://www.amd.com.cn/CHCN/Pro..._11395_11428,00-1.html
