Hi again Yokomizo...
AFAIK know there wouldn't be any compatability issue at all... the added bandwidth that HT 3.1 will bring increasing the total from 2.6Ghz/5200 effective, from 3.2Ghz/6400 effective won't have that much significance at all...
The CPU probably supports HT3.1 though if you look at the PII 940 as an example.... that currently has support for HT 3.0 which allows up to 2.6Ghz/5200 effective HT, however the stock setting for the PII 940BE is to run at 1.8Ghz/3600Mhz effective which is well below the max that is currently available with HT 3.0, let alone the increased speed of HT 3.1, so I really think that it won't be a compatability concern at all....
In all likelihood the 955 will have a stock HT speed of 2.0Ghz maybe even 2.2-2.4Ghz... but still won't be using all of the bandwidth that is currently available using HT 3.0.
At least this would be my guess, there aren't currently any HT 3.1 mobos available as far as I am aware...!!! So the 955 upon luanch will have to be used using HT 3.0 anyway, at least until a HT 3.1 motherboard is released... but it won't be a similar situation as when Phenom was released and being used on AM2 mobo's that only had HT 1.0, as that was limiting the HT speed of the CPU to 1000MHz when at stock on an AM2+ mobo it would be at 1800-2000Mhz...
However currently Stock HT speeds for Phenom II's seem to be around the same 1800Mhz-2000Mhz, this may increase with the introductin of HT 3.1 it remains to be seen I suppose..!!
Certainly will be interesting to keep an eye on....!!
