Well I need to know what kind of BSOD you get when you crash or what happends.

For now Try this. These helped when I just breached into 3.8ghz+

Channel A Skew normal
Channel B Skew normal

CKE Drive Strength 1.25x
CS/ODT Drive Strength 1.25x
ADD/CMD Drive Strength 1.25x
MEMCLK Drive Strength 1.25x
DATA Drive Strength 1.25x
DQS Drive Strength 1.25x

Make sure you have A fan to cool off your DDR2.

I would not recommend this if you dont have decent NB cooling I.E. A fan AND would suggest Up your current voltages one step at a time and see what happens. AND KEEP A EYE ONE THOS TEMPS.

VDDA 2.728v
MEMv 2.260v (DDR2)<------------ helped alot and OMG USE A FAN
NF200 1.36v (South Bridge) <----helped with crashing with hi Ref clocks
1.2 HTv 1.36v <--------------------- helped some
NB ChipV 1.36v (North Bridge)<--- helped some
CPU-NB 1.5v (CPU to NB)<------helped alot
CPU voltage 1.52v<-----------------Used this voltage but you can probably use less.

If your temp goes over 52c on CPU coretemp = BSOD maybe...

Also I dont have ACC configuration its a nvidia 780a . Aswell the settings I suggest may not help cause we have differ boards.

OMG My Goal finally!!!1111 (until I get the urg togo faster) 4.1ghz stable 1.55v 283 x 14.5.
I have tried soo many settings, 29 just today and maybe 124 settings since 5-11-09.
Booted up soo many times omg. BSOD screens helped to configure settings also the progress through Vantage/3Dmark06 until BSOD helped to configure settings.

Holly Drink thats very impressive pulling off a 3dmark06 run at 4.1mhz cpu speed great work and great chip and system you have there , so far im close to pulling off a run at 4.0mhz but right now I'm at 3.9mhz stable I'm running a 3.8mhz 24/7 oc right now , my 3dmark06 scores for 2 4870 crossfire are in the 3dmark06 topic @ 21447 and my new 2 4890 crossfire not maxed out yet but close is @ 21933 both @ 3.9mhz but man I am so close to running 3dmark06 @ 4.0mhz on my PII 940 [/url]">cpu-z PII 940 @ 4.0mhz

cpu-z Phenom II X4 940 @ 4.0mhz sorry guys about the bad URL up top but I could not get an edit in so here it is here ,Thank You Thats also a great NB @ 2.8 mhz you have there , I see where your picking up on me with your v's I'm way under you on some v tweaks how are your temps ? 2 ATI 4890 Crossfire these 4890's are new and there's more room but not much more I have these scores in the benchmark section and asked Immortal Lobster to please put them up on our board , Thanks again for your post Holly Drink !!! Thats awesome Holy Drink I put my 2 ATI 4890 3dmark06 score up here for you I have more room to go but thats where I am now the old one you saw was my old 2 ATI 4870 which I sold to my friend so I'm all done with those now but they were awesome gpu's and the prices are comming down on them again , I'm gonna be bumping up my v's closer to you to pull off a 3dmark06 run @ 4.0ghz and I'm pretty sure I can get well into the 22k area with the 4890 in duel crossfire . Thank you for the compliment on my rig Holly drink appreciate it and I want to thank you also for sharing your testing and findings on your equipment . I look forward to keep this thread going and see what we and our friends come up with . Great Job drink

You have a very nice system yourself. Your doing great with that ASUS M3A79-T DELUXE very nice infact just like the rest of the crew here. Your overclock on your new 4890's is very good also....
I see everyone has better CPU scores than me on the AMD boards vs my Nvidia board. Dang should of went the crossfire route ...would of been slightly more cheaper arrrg.
Plus with ACC Probably could of pushed it futher under my current cooling and used less voltage. .
AND I hate that IHS on the phenom II Its freeking 10C~ difference from the core temp to IHS on load......alwell to scared to try to take it off.

I found these Lesser settings today fooling around with 3.992ghz. I was trying to look for lowest possible settings when I thought, "hmm I wonder if these would work at 4.1ghz."
It did work, just isnt stable through testing in Vista ....*Sigh more testing todo....maybe later...tired of the blue screens BLEH!!!!!....

* EDITED
Critical error!!!!!!!!!!!

My voltage setting that I posted for CPU is incorrect!!!!!!!!
1.55v cpu voltage is noticed in Everest, Sisoft Sandra, AI suite but the setting in bios is 1.3375v CPU. When I use hi ref clocks it adds additional voltage for some reason.

Useing these current BIOS settings

2.622v VDDA
2.48v MemV
1.50v NF200
1.46v 1.2 HT
1.46v NB Chip
1.5250 CPU-NB
1.3375v CPU (in windows shows 1.55v CPU)

Everything else is on auto

Fan on DDR2

Fan on VRM Heat sink

Heat pipe from SB also takes care of NB

Here are my temps. Under GPU / CPU load
On the left side is under load / right side is idle. Going over 44C~ = fail.
Also CPU RPM is the DDR2 fan hooked into the CPU fan hookup

Oustanding work. I have the same motherboard and memory but I am running on air. I have the Big Typhoon with a silverstone fan. If I go to water I will test these setting but right now I am running at 3.6 @ 1.3875 it has been exceptionally stable and I my idle temps are 35 and load is about 43. But it is good to know that I can up the ante if I decide to get better cooling. Great work !!!!

Thx for the complement yappcd. I am still working on settings that are set to auto ... soo many of them.....So many blue screens ......So far I think have found something interesting with CPU ON-DIE Termination, DRAM Termination DCQ Bypass Maximum,
and Channel B skew adjustments post my finding later on. It's very interesting on the CPU score Cough-kazgirl-Cough

Thx for the URL fix pcnazz hope you get to your goal .

AND I have something to fix/share with you all......................................

So far..... I didn't get the score first achieved with the settings --cpu score 5549--
that is why I was soo excited, then let down. After retesting same settings, changing
settings, retesting and so on found that it was probably a fluke when I used DCQ
Bypass Maximum @ 9x with these other settings. But.... I was able to increase over
my last CPU score by 50 (+/- 20 varies run to run) which is better but not
as great of an increase that I expected. Used these settings at 3.8ghz - 4ghz but was
granted with lower than expected CPU scores than settings set to AUTO. Different
settings most likely need tobe used at different speeds ....thats annoying.

This is sorta not related but I was curious if I could overclock my 2 x GTX260 (192
core) further with these new found settings without GFX bugging on me. Went
729/1458/1188 to 756/1512/1188 without better cooling which I think is interesting.
Next step up is 771/1566/1188 and would GFX bug and eventually crash the vid card.
Can't change settings at a 1mhz increment. Darn you Riva Tuner!!!!!

Changed

Channel B normal---------------to advance 150ps
CPU On-Die Termination Auto--to 75 ohms
Dram Termination Auto---------to 50 ohms
DCQ Bypass Maximum Auto----to 11x
