I have a HP XP Media Center Edition 2005 desktop. I have a AMD Athlon 64 Processor 4000+ 2.39GHz with 2.00GB of RAM my video card is a ATI Radeon 9250 @128MB. I don't know much about the hardware of computers but I do know a lil about software. I was wondering what all I could upgrade to.I olay WarRock online and I have lagg issues plus when I am playing my graphics of the game get's distoured (sorry bad speller). I was wondering if I would need to get a driver update for my video card to solve that problem though. But I would like to upgrade my mother board as well. Because I use the computer strictly for that game. I know that I would still have lagg but I just would like to minimize the lagg. I have a ATX Micro setup if that helps anyone. Just please if anyone has any form of information I would greatly greatly thank whoever is able to help me. Thank you.

You may find it impossible to install a retail mobo into an O.E.M. HP case.
Honestly, you be better off building your own system.
Since you have an older comp, the HP bios probably will not support the latest multi-core processors.
I'm not familiar with ATI video cards, is this an AGP card?
If so, then it is another good reason to jump up into a PCI-e machine.

It's always best to update to the latest video card drivers (especially with newer games).

Build your own it is a lot easyer than you think. And with the help of all the fine folks on this forum it will be a snap. I'll never buy off the rack again. It was cheaper and I got what I wanted and didn't get what I didn't want. Total custom baby. Just for me.
