I sent for a sempron 3800 processor # SDA38001AA3CN I recieved an Athlon 3800 # ADA38001AA4CN. I know this is probably a dumb question but will the Athlon work and will it be better, the same, or worse? I'm desperate. Thank you.

Just guessing here, but I would say it should work
But, it all depends on the motherboard that you have. But if your system will run that Semperon the it should run the 3800
The 3800 is a dual core CPU, so you will need the X2 driver and probably even the Dual Core Optimizer if you are running Windows XP

The motherboard that the sempron came out of is an ECS MCP61SM-GM. This is my first attempt at this so I just want to be sure.
