Great work there jcocanour
Well the sh*t hit the fan for me at 4.0GHz.
I assumed that the max. voltage for the 125w 965 was 1.50v....WRONG!!!
While I was running an Everest stress test, I looked up the specs, max. is 1.40v (1.425v for the 140w version).
Boys, this 965 is an entirely different animal than the 955.
Back to the drawing board for me, I keep ya'll posted on my progress.

Recommend upping her vcore to 1.4 and find the wall there first and farthermost.
But yes I can confirm the default v core for the 965 BE is only 1.375 volts.
Its supposed to be able to run lower voltage then the 140 watt .
I hear mixed reports, but most say 1.4 volts is good for 3.8 Ghz stable but 3.9 Ghz fails @ 1.4 volts. 1.425 volts is needed for 3.9 Ghz stable.

Nice start, but you need to get the NB up man at least 2.5 to 2.6 Ghz.
Stick with 1.4 volts and 3.8 Ghz word has it, its the sweet spot.

Nice job at 3.8GHz, are you going to try 3.9GHz?
Keep us posted on your progress!
Guru, I just tested 3.9GHz at 1.40v...FAILED!!!
Now running 3.9GHz at 1.465v just for the sake of trying to get it stable.
Here's a review of the 125w 965, they couldn't hit 4.0GHz in their test:

Temps are fine, 52-53c max. during the Everest torture test, I applied OCZ Freeze for the first time.
This chip is throwing me curve balls that I ain't hitting right now...lol
Yeah 3.8GHz at 1.40v is fine, but once you go 3.9GHz & above, it's a whole different ballgame.
So far it's a go (keeping fingers crossed) at 3.9GHz with a Vcore of 1.465v
NB@ 2600MHz (1.2875v)
I'll report back later.....
