The setup-
-Phenom II x6 1090T
-ZeroTherm BTF90 hsf w/Artic Silver 5 ~8c less effective than a TRUE
-2x2gb Adata DDR3-2000mhz 99924 1.55v-1.75v
-Biostar TA785G3 mATX 125w TDP rated
-BFG 450w 2x18amp 12v rails
-On board 4200 gpu
-Win7 x64
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
All STOCK SETTINGS
First boot-2200mhz HT is now stock on the x6 lines
Idle
10min Full Load from Boinc (as stressful as Prime95) 70f ambient open case
Same load temps I get from a Athlon 620 @ 3.25ghz 1.5v on same HSF
Everest Memory Test
Nothing special here 1333mhz 99924 ram
SuperPi 1.5
Turbo shot. Note cpu-z is delayed and thats why you see the higher voltage on a 3.2ghz core instead of on the 3.6ghz
HyperPi 32m
MaXXPi 128m
WPrime 32m and 1028m
PassMark CPU test only
Vantage CPU only
Cinebench 11.5 64bit
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately the $50 motherboard is not up to the task of OCing higher than 3.8ghz 1.42v.
The temps are still very nice at ~45c load.
I was able to boot a couple of times at 4ghz but more than 1.42v is obviously needed.
Being that the biggest capacitors on the Biostar and the size of the smallest on my DFI it's no wonder it cant meet the power demands of the 1090T overclocked.
I am happy to say that the 1090T has been chugging along at 3.6ghz 1.37v with full load for the past +24 hours running BOINC on all cores with Temps at 41c.
There is plenty of head room to go higher. Once DFI releases my bios update I will post more with overclocked results with it on the H50.
In the mean time I will be working on getting benchmarks done of my 955c3 at 3.2ghz stock and overclocked for a direct side by side comparison of 4 cores versus 6 cores.

The setup-
-Phenom II x4 955 c3 Stepping
-Corsair H50 2x120mm ~75cfm each Push/Pull Intake w/ Artic Silver 5
-2x2gb Adata DDR3-2000mhz 99924 1.55v-1.75v
-DFI LP Jr 790GX 140w TDP rated
-Corsair 750TX 750w PSU
-2x5850's
-Win7 x64

All STOCK SETTINGS

So there you have it side by side comparisons of the 1090T vs. 955c3 both at stock settings.
The 1090T besides more cores has a slightly higher HT(2.2ghz) to help the communitcation between cores.
The downside to more cores is less L3 cache for each core as it is shared.
Turbo seems to do a good job of keeping the 1090T ahead of the 955 in SuperPi dispite less L3 per core.
But once we load HyperPi on all cores forcing the cores to split that L3 cache and no more Turbo tricks we see the 1090T fall behind.

A 955c3 does take the lead against the 1090T in single thread bench's and there for your more common applications.
However it just cant keep up when it comes down to multithread benchmarks and task with the obvious 2 core handicap.
No real big surprises here. Gaming benchmarks will come to see if the extra ~$150 is worth it for the avid gamer.

Something's off with your temps.
Sorry, but I seriously doubt that the CPU will idle at 19, or not even 22, degrees only with an ambient temp of 21, not with an air cooler.

And you know just as well as I do that it's just not possible to have a lower idle temp than ambient with an air OR a water cooler.
Only way for that to happen is if you're having some kind of thermo dynamic transfer in action, and I do know that the H50 or this ZeroTherm BTF90 isn't doing that.
I do know my physics...

The temps are accurate I assure you. This is at stock with CnQ on and the HSF on full fan speed.
955c3 stock results coming later this evening on the DFI with the H50.

I figured as much..
A bit dangerous not knowing how close you really are to the maximum temp.

I have my doubts chief, My room ambient temp is 23.6 c right now and case ambient temp is 27.8 c
19c even on water is NOT possible.
Now 22c to 23c is 100% possible.
It is a scientific impossibility to idle at 19c at them temps.

Think about it... They just can't be. Ambient temp is 21 you say.. and it shows idle temp as 19. It's just not possible with that cooler. No way.
Don't want to come off as a complete ***** here but those sensors aren't giving the right temps. I just don't want you to fry it because it shows the wrong temps!

scientifically your looking at around 22c to 26c idle temp.
If cool n quite is on and there is no load.

Were do you see Idle temp of 19c????
Core temps are calculated I even labled on the ss what temps where cpu and nb.
You never go by the core temp its not an actual reading.

Ah, sorry... my mistake.
But still.. 22-23C with ambient temp at 21.
Even with C'n'Q on I have my doubts.
Looked at frostytech and they show that cooler as giving 12C above ambient temp when idle.
Just for the heck of it I'm gonna dump my OC and turn C'n'Q on to see what kind of temp I get. If it falls down to 1-2C over ambient I will surrender!

Well, I'm not gonna fight over it or swear that I'm right in any way but I just don't believe that you're running it only 1-2 degrees above ambient when idle, not even with C'n'Q on with an air cooler like that.
So, I BELIEVE that your temp readings are off for some reason. I might be wrong and if I am I apologise but I'm not saying this to be mean in any way, I'd hate to see you fry your cpu because it's running to hot.
Have you checked what the idle temp is in BIOS? This could be a bios issue..
